Botanical Garden

Founded in 1975, this oasis unfolds across 2 hectares in the heart of the French Brittany. Its primary function goes beyond mere display: it operates as a research center within a natural environment dedicated to botanical study, conservation, and outreach.

As you stroll along its paths, which range from an exotic bamboo grove to the elegance of French-style gardens, you will discover the origin of the ingredients used in high-end cosmetics and perfumery.

Here, Yves Rocher's signature plants flourish, such as calendula, chamomile, cornflower, and arnica. Additionally, the space houses truly exclusive plant collections: a prominent selection of Artemisia, exotic ethnobotanical varieties, species from our global supply networks, and a fascinating display of aromatic Pelargoniums.

The Botanical Garden in numbers:

  • A sanctuary that protects more than 1,500 plant species, organized according to their properties.
  • An ecosystem designed to host and recover endangered plant varieties.
  • A space recognized as a Biodiversity Refuge by the LPO.
  • An active network connected with 200 botanical institutions globally.
  • Home to the National Artemisia Collection and an active member of the BGCI.
  • A center for experimentation where more than 150 scientists specializing in Botanical Beauty collaborate.

Seeds without borders

As an institution certified by the BGCI and the French Botanical Gardens Association, we are part of a global alliance for the exchange of technical knowledge. Through this international network, we actively participate in the distribution of seeds and genetic resources around the world, a joint effort that facilitates research, development, and the survival of plants.

The value of sharing after the harvest

Committed to protecting global flora, the garden team collects seeds from our 1,500 plant varieties year after year. This process is carried out entirely by hand between the months of August and November. When winter arrives, the team is responsible for carefully drying and classifying each variety.

Each season, after the harvest is complete, our botanical experts prepare a specialized seed catalog (scientifically known as Index Seminum). This document is shared with a global network of more than 2,000 botanical centers, maintaining a constant exchange with over 150 allied institutions across all continents.
