The Comme une Évidence family: Yves Rocher's floral chypre fragrances

A chypre is one of the classic fragrance chords in perfumery: a fresh opening that, as the hours go by, gives way to a deeper base, almost always built on patchouli. Yves Rocher has four perfumes that start from that same idea and take it to different versions: Comme une Évidence, Mon Évidence, Comme une Évidence Intense and L'Évidence.

Comme une Évidence

The original of the family. Floral chypre family, intensity +++. Notes of bergamot, damask rose, and patchouli. Created by Annick Menardo: "I imagined a fragrance bathed in light, like an infinite sensation of space: a chypre chord that is decidedly modernized, elegant, and timeless. The exquisite freshness of Bergamot essence gives way to the delicately feminine trail of Damask Rose absolute. The peaceful silhouette of Patchouli essence provides a deep feeling of fulfillment."

Mon Évidence

The most gourmand version. Gourmand chypre family. Notes of Italian mandarin, damask rose, and Madagascar vanilla. Created by Annick Menardo and Olivier Cresp: a moment for yourself, with the delicacy of damask rose combined with juicy mandarin and the sweetness of vanilla.

Comme une Évidence Intense

The most intense version. Intense chypre family, intense intensity (the highest in the family). Notes of jasmine, rose, and white wood chord. According to Annick Menardo: "The chypre chord of the Eau de Parfum is gaining intensity. A stronger color provided by a dense and carnal floral heart: jasmine absolute and rose essence illuminate the composition with round, honeyed notes. A sensual and delicate femininity emerges."

Which one should I choose?

If you want the brand's classic chypre, Comme une Évidence. If you prefer something sweet and warm, Mon Évidence. If you are looking for more projection and intensity, Comme une Évidence Intense. If you lean towards something fresher and more luminous within the same chord, L'Évidence. All four share patchouli in the base, so you will recognize the "family resemblance" even when switching from one to another.
